Helping Hands

Last year, I referred five friends and I still get a $600 check every month."
At Supplemental Health Care, we'd like to "thank you" every month for sending your friends and co-workers our way. It's our Helping Hands referral program, and an easy way for our employees to get a monthly bonus.
Q.
What is Helping Hands?
A.
Helping Hands is Supplemental Health Care's referral program that pays you to help us build our team of health care professionals.
Q.
Why is the Monthly Payment Program different?
A.
Helping Hands Monthly Payment Program lets our nurses and therapists refer friends and get $1.00 per hour for each hour that they work.
Q.
Is there a cap on how much I can earn through Helping Hands?
A.
No, as long as your referral is working for us, and you work at least one shift a year for us, we'll send you a check every month.
Q.
So, if the person I refer works 30 hours a week for four weeks, I'd get a check for $120 that month?
A.
That's right, less any state and federal taxes. You can earn up to $1,800 a year for each full-time referral.
Q.
Is there a limit to the number of people I can refer?
A.
The sky is the limit. The more people that you refer, the more you can make.
Q.
I am a nurse. Can I refer other specialties too?
A.
You can refer any discipline that we place as long as the person has never worked for us in the past—nurses, therapists and more. Get out your address book and start referring today.
Q.
When do I receive my first check?
A.
As quick as you can say, "Cha-ching." Almost. You start earning the $1.00 an hour with the first hour your friend works and checks are sent out monthly.
Q.
What if I don't work for you?
A.
If you don't work for Supplemental Health Care, you can still refer great people to us and receive a traditional one-time referral bonus. Nurses and therapists who do work for us can also choose this option if they prefer.
Q.
So, what's the catch?
A.
There's not one — it's our way of thanking you for helping us build our team of health care professionals. It's just another way we live up to our I. C.A.R.E. core values.
Q.
How do I get started?
A.
Contact us by email or phone to give us your friend's contact information.  Or you can have your friend contact us directly -- and we'll take it from there.
Q.
What if I selected the monthly payments, and now I want the one-time payment instead?
A.
While you have the ability to select a different payment option for each person you refer, once you make your decision and your referral starts, we are not able to change the type of payment you will receive for that referral.
Q.
What if I am moving and will no longer be able to work for my local office, but I don't want to become ineligible for monthly payments?
A.
The great news is that Supplemental Health Care has opportunities for nurses and therapists in nearly every state through our network of local offices and our travel divisions.  Once you get settled your recruiter can direct you toward opportunities in your new area.
Q.
What if I am planning to work for Supplemental Health Care, but I haven't started yet, can I still refer?
A.
Absolutely, we would love to talk to your friends and colleagues about a career at Supplemental Health Care.  As soon as you work your first shift you will be eligible for the Monthly Payment Program, and can start earning every month.  If your friend starts before you do, you will still qualify for the one-time payment.
Q.
I already receive monthly payments for a friend you hired before October 1st, 2008, what happens to my monthly payments?
A.
Don't worry, you'll still get your monthly payments of $0.75 per hour each month. You'll also receive $1.00 an hour for any new health care professionals you refer us now or in the future.
Q.
My friend just worked their first shift, when will I get my first monthly payment check?
A.
Monthly payments are processed on the third Tuesday of the month, for hours worked the previous month.  So if you friend started on October 15, 2008 you would receive your first payment on November 18th.  Click here for a list of payment dates for 2008.
Q.
How do I get my monthly payment?
A.
Monthly payments will be handled the same way your weekly pay check is.  This means that if you are set up for Direct Deposit, your payment will be deposited in your account, and a statement sent to you.  If you are receiving a paper paycheck, then a separate Helping Hands paycheck will be mailed to you.
